In a moving gesture of compassion and solidarity, Hon’ble Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) from Inner Manipur, Dr. Angomcha Bimol Akoijam, along with his spouse Smt. Olivia Thounaojam, celebrated the festival of Ningol Chakouba with inmates of the Mangolnganbi Relief Camp at Ningthoukhong on Thursday.
The couple, accompanied by members of the Central Development Committee from the Office of the MP, shared a traditional Ningol Chakouba meal with the displaced families, spending time listening to their stories and offering words of comfort and encouragement.

Dr. Bimol Akoijam described the visit as a humble expression of unity and love, reflecting the essence of Ningol Chakouba — a festival that cherishes the bond of affection between sisters and brothers and celebrates the values of care and togetherness.
Extending his warm wishes to the people of Manipur, Dr. Akoijam said the festival should inspire a renewed spirit of reconciliation and harmony across communities.
The visit brought smiles and emotional moments to the inmates of the camp, reaffirming that the strength of Manipur’s festivals lies in their power to connect hearts even in times of hardship.
