MMWO Pays Condolence Tribute to Senior Advocate Md. Jallaluddin
Imphal, October 27, 2025: The Manipur Meitei Pangal Welfare Organisation (MMWO) has expressed deep condolence on the demise of Senior Advocate Md. Jallaluddin, retired Public Prosecutor and Government Advocate of the High Court of Manipur, who passed away on Friday, 24th October 2025.
Advocate Md. Jallaluddin was recognised as the first Government Advocate from the Pangal community. MMWO stated that his demise has left a void that cannot be filled, particularly in the legal fraternity and the society he served. Members of MMWO observed a two-minute silence and offered prayers for his eternal peace.
Born on 1st March 1950 at Yairipok Kekru, he completed his Class 10 in 1966 and graduated with a B.A. degree in 1972. He obtained his LL.B. in 1976 and began his legal career in 1978. He retired in 2009 as Additional Public Prosecutor-cum-Additional Government Advocate of the High Court of Manipur.
He also served as the Secretary of the Manipur Waqf Board for two years from 1992. He held the position of President of the All Manipur Muslim Advocate Legal Service Association (MALSO) and was actively involved in various community organisations. Until his demise, he was an Executive Member of the Hajj Committee, High Court Bar Association, several civil society organisations, and other local committees.
MMWO offered prayers for the departed soul and conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.
