MLA Sheikh Noorul Hassan Visits Fire-Affected Families in Moreh, Extends Assistance
MLA Sheikh Noorul Hassan visited the fire-affected locality of Muslim Basti in Moreh, where a massive blaze on October 25 destroyed around 11 houses, leaving nearly 18 families homeless. The fire, suspected to have been caused by an electrical short circuit, spread rapidly through the densely populated area near the Indo-Myanmar border. Fortunately, no casualties were reported.
During his visit, MLA Sheikh Noorul Hassan personally inspected the damaged site and extended financial assistance to help meet the immediate needs of the affected families. He assured the victims that all possible support would be provided and stated that he would apprise the Hon’ble Governor in Council and the Chief Secretary of the situation to seek further aid for rehabilitation.



As part of the visit, the MLA also inaugurated the newly constructed gate of the Moreh Jama Masjid, which he had donated. He later held a meeting with the Moreh Manipuri Muslim Council to discuss additional relief measures and long-term community development initiatives.



MLA Sheikh Noorul Hassan reaffirmed his commitment to support the people of Moreh during times of crisis and to ensure timely assistance for those affected by the tragic incident.
