MP Dr. Bimol Akoijam Urges Hospitals to Continue Cashless Treatment Under PMJAY and CMHT
Hon’ble MP (Lok Sabha) Dr. Angomcha Bimol Akoijam has appealed to the Association of Healthcare Providers (India) – Manipur Chapter to continue offering cashless treatment under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY) and Chief Ministergi Hakshelgi Tengbang (CMHT) schemes.
In a letter addressed to Dr. Palin Khundongbam, President of AHPI–Manipur Chapter, Dr. Akoijam acknowledged the financial difficulties faced by private hospitals due to pending reimbursements. However, he cautioned that suspending services would severely impact patients in need of urgent and essential medical care.
The MP informed that he has already taken up the issue with the Union Health Minister to expedite the release of pending dues to hospitals. He further appealed to healthcare institutions to continue extending their support to the public during this critical period, emphasizing that many families rely on uninterrupted access to treatment.
