RIMS Imphal Observes 150 Years of National Song Vande Mataram

The Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal, commemorated 150 years of India’s National Song “Vande Mataram” in accordance with the directives of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. The event was held in front of the Administrative Block, RIMS, Imphal.

The observance began with the collective singing of Vande Mataram, symbolizing unity, pride, and reverence for the nation. The gathering paid tribute to the song’s enduring legacy as an emblem of India’s freedom struggle and patriotic spirit.

The event was organized under the guidance of Prof. G. Sunil Kumar Sharma, Director of RIMS, Imphal, whose leadership continues to strengthen the institute’s commitment to excellence and national service. As part of the programme, participants also viewed a live telecast of the address by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India.

The commemoration was attended by the Medical Superintendent of RIMS Hospital, Deputy Director (Administration), Dean (Academics), Principals of the Dental College and College of Nursing, Heads of Departments, faculty members, nursing officials, officers, and staff.

The observance reaffirmed RIMS Imphal’s dedication to upholding national values and actively supporting initiatives of national importance.
