Deventy Khundongbam Devi to Receive Best Manipuri Pony Farmers Award 2025

Deventy Khundongbam Devi from Porompat Thawanthaba Leikai, Imphal East District, has been selected for the “Yengkhom Ibochou Singh and Tanou Devi Best Manipuri Pony Farmers Award 2025.”

The award is conferred annually by the Library and Information Centre, Kakching, to recognise outstanding contributions in the rearing and preservation of the indigenous Manipuri pony. Instituted in 2017 by Dr. Yengkhom Rajendra Singh, Retired Project Officer, Veterinary Department, the award carries a cash prize of ₹10,000 and a certificate.

The award will be presented to Deventy Khundongbam Devi during the 27th Award Presentation Function of the Library and Information Centre, Kakching, scheduled to be held on December 7 at 11 a.m. at the Auditorium Hall of the Centre at Kakching Phousupat Leikai.
