Sangai First Foundation Organizes “Yarou Sangai 2025” Competition at Bishnupur

Bishnupur, November 9, 2025 The Sangai First Foundation (SfF), a non-profit charitable trust, successfully organized the competition for the title “Yarou Sangai 2025” today at 10:15 a.m. in the auditorium of Bishnupur Higher Secondary School.

The event was held as a pre-event of the upcoming 2nd Sangai Day 2025, aimed at fostering awareness, creativity, and responsibility among students towards the conservation of the Sangai — the pride of Manipur. A total of 93 students from various schools across Bishnupur District actively took part in the competition.

Participants competed in three events — As You Like (Poem or Essay), Written Quiz, and Painting Competition — under the common theme “Our Sangai.”

A panel of reputed and eminent jury members evaluated and scrutinized the performances of all participants. The results will be announced soon, and the awards will be presented during the celebration of the 2nd Sangai Day on December 10, 2025, at the Sangai Ethnic Park, Moirang Khunou.

The Sangai First Foundation expressed heartfelt appreciation to the ZEO Bishnupur, her subordinate officials, the Principal and staff of Bishnupur Higher Secondary School, all participating schools, students, jury members, and volunteers of Green Brigade, Manipur for their support in making the event a success. The foundation reaffirmed its commitment to protect and preserve the Sangai, the pride and symbol of Manipur’s rich natural heritage.
