Security Forces Recover Arms and Explosives from Loitang Sandum Hill Range

Security Forces recovered a cache of arms and explosives from the Loitang Sandum Hill Range under Sekmai Police Station in Imphal West district on Tuesday.

The recovered items include one .303 rifle with two magazines, one double barrel gun, one single barrel gun, one 9 mm pistol with a magazine, and one No. 36 HE grenade without a detonator. The team also seized 118 rounds of assorted ammunition, eight detonators, three tube-launching devices, eight magazines of different weapons, a .303 rifle foresight assembly, four BAOFENG hand-held sets, one patka helmet, two bulletproof vests and a plastic bottle of cleaning oil.

Security Forces said the recovery will help prevent the misuse of arms and contribute to ongoing efforts to maintain peace and security in the area. An investigation is underway.
