Displaced Villagers Attempt to Return Home; Stopped Near Pukhao Terapur by Authorities

Around 100 displaced villagers from Doilaithabi, currently residing in a relief camp near Sajiwa, attempted to return to their native village on Tuesday. However, security forces halted them near Pukhao Terapur, as the area falls within a sensitive fringe zone.

To prevent any untoward incident, adequate security arrangements were made, including the deployment of one company of Mahila CRPF personnel. The District Administration and senior police officials are currently in talks with local leaders to arrive at an amicable resolution to the situation.

Authorities confirmed that the situation remains peaceful and under control. It is being closely monitored by senior officers to ensure continued stability in the area.

The Manipur Police have urged all individuals and communities to cooperate with security and administrative measures to maintain peace and prevent escalation.
