DC Bishnupur Inspects Progress of JJM Water Supply Projects at Utlou, Khujairok and Toupokpi

Deputy Commissioner Bishnupur, Smt. Pooja Elangbam, conducted an inspection of key Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) project sites in the district today to assess ongoing works and ensure timely completion.

Accompanied by the Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) Nambol and the Executive Engineer, PHED, the DC visited the Augmentation of Utlou Water Supply Scheme and the Augmentation of Khujairok Water Supply Scheme. Officials briefed her on various components of the projects, including treatment units, pipelines, and pump houses.

Assessing the progress, Smt. Pooja Elangbam stressed the importance of maintaining quality standards and urged the officials to expedite the works so that every household receives safe and adequate drinking water at the earliest.

Representatives from the concerned departments and local bodies also joined the visit. Later in the day, the team inspected the Augmentation of Toupokpi Water Supply Scheme to check its implementation status.
