26 Acres of Illicit Poppy Cultivation Destroyed in Kangpokpi District
Security Forces, in coordination with the Kangpokpi Forest Division, carried out a major anti-poppy operation on Monday, destroying approximately 26 acres of illicit poppy cultivation in the Holjang hill ranges of Kangpokpi district.
During the operation, a total of 17 huts found within the cultivation site were burnt down. The team also destroyed around seven bags of fertilizers and three bags of salt, which were reportedly used for poppy cultivation.

The drive is part of ongoing efforts by Security Forces and the Forest Department to curb illegal poppy plantation and protect forest areas from further degradation.
