53 Acres of Illicit Poppy Cultivation Destroyed in Kangpokpi
Security forces, in collaboration with the Kangpokpi Forest Division, destroyed large-scale illicit poppy plantations spread across approximately 53 acres in the Phailengkot–Makhan hill ranges under Koubru Reserve Forest on Wednesday.

The destruction was carried out across six locations under Gamnom Sapermeina Police Station. During the operation, seven farm huts and 35 packets of salt used for cultivation were also dismantled and destroyed.
Authorities said the drive was part of the ongoing efforts to curb illegal poppy cultivation in the district.
