Two Arrested With Suspected Heroin at Nongmeibung

Security forces arrested two individuals for carrying a contraband substance during an operation conducted at Nongmeibung near Kusum Oil Pump under Porompat Police Station, Imphal East, on Monday.

The arrested persons have been identified as Md. Ajimuddin (24) of Kwakta Pangal Lamkhai, Bishnupur, and Md. Iqbal (22) of Kwakta Bazar, Bishnupur.

During the operation, the team recovered one four-wheeler and 353.63 grams of suspected heroin powder from their possession.

The arrested individuals, along with the seized items, have been handed over to Porompat Police Station for further legal action.
