RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat Arrives in Imphal for Three-Day Visit

RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat arrived in Imphal today for a three-day visit as part of the organisation’s centenary celebrations. During his stay, Bhagwat will hold a closed-door meeting with members of the RSS Manipur unit, followed by interactions with intellectuals and civil society groups in the Imphal Valley. The meetings are scheduled to take place at Konjeng Leikai in Imphal

This is Bhagwat’s first visit to Manipur since the ethnic conflict erupted two years ago; his last visit was in 2022. As part of his itinerary, separate interactive sessions will also be organised with prominent citizens, community representatives, and youth leaders. On Saturday, he will meet leaders from the hill districts.

Manipur has been under President’s Rule with the Assembly in suspended animation since February this year, after N. Biren Singh stepped down as Chief Minister.
