Security Forces Recover Arms and Ammunition from Urangpat Hill Ranges
In a press note issued by the security forces, a cache of arms and ammunition was recovered today from the hill ranges of Urangpat under Yaingangpokpi Police Station.
During the operation, security personnel recovered the following items:
- 01 pistol with an empty magazine,
- 01 tear gas gun,
- 01 country-made bolt action rifle,
- 01 country-made .22 rifle,
- 03 tear smoke shells,
- 11 live rounds of various calibres,
- 12 empty cases of 7.62 mm, and
- 13 empty cases of 9 mm.
Security forces stated that the recovery forms part of ongoing efforts to prevent the circulation of illegal arms in the region. Further investigation is underway.
