Security Forces Destroy 10 Acres of Poppy Cultivation in Kangpokpi
In a coordinated operation carried out today, a joint team of Manipur Police, Assam Rifles (AR), and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) detected and destroyed poppy plantations spread across three separate areas in the interiors of Songlung village under Kangpokpi district.

According to officials, the joint team located a total of 10 acres of illegal poppy cultivation, which were subsequently uprooted and destroyed on the spot. During the operation, three storage/farm huts and various articles used for poppy cultivation were also dismantled and burnt.
Security forces stated that such operations will continue as part of the state’s intensified drive against illegal poppy cultivation and narcotics production.
