Missing Youth Mukesh’s Mobile Location Matches Hemanjit & Linthoingambi’s; RPI (A) Urges DGP to Act

Imphal, March 17, 2025 – In a worrying development, the mobile phone location of missing youth Luwangthem Mukesh has been traced to the Jouzangtek area of Kangpokpi district, the same location linked to the still-missing duo, Hemanjit and Linthoingambi. All three youths went missing after the Meitei-Kuki ethnic violence broke out, raising serious concerns about their safety.

The Republican Party of India (Athawale) [RPI (A)] has urged the Director General of Police (DGP), Manipur, to intensify efforts to trace Mukesh, who went missing on March 16, 2025, from Keishampat Leimajam Leikai, Imphal West.

RPI (A) General Secretary Thounaojam Maheswar, after meeting with the DGP of Manipur Police, told reporters, “We have met the DGP regarding the missing youth from near my locality. As per police officials, his mobile location has been traced towards the Kuki-dominated Jouzangtek area. However, the exact place is yet to be determined. We have been told that the mobile signal can cover a 10 km radius.”

Mukesh, aged 20, was last seen leaving home in a red Maruti Alto 800 (Registration No. MN05J-0018) and carrying a mobile phone. His family has already lodged a missing report at Imphal Police Station.

With Hemanjit and Linthoingambi still untraced, and now Mukesh’s mobile signal matching their last known location, concerns are growing over the fate of the missing individuals. Authorities have launched an investigation and are urging the public to share any information that may help locate them.

Anyone with relevant information is urged to contact the nearest police station or Mukesh’s family at 7629030672.
