Stolen Vehicle Recovered, One Arrested in Lilong: Manipur Police

Imphal, May 3, 2025 – Manipur Police have arrested a 20-year-old individual in connection with a vehicle theft case reported in Imphal West earlier the same day. The suspect, identified as Chongtham Ebungo Singh from Lamboikhongnangkhong, Imphal West, was apprehended by personnel of Lilong Police Station, Thoubal District, near the Jama Masjid area.

Police recovered a stolen Maruti Wagon R (registration number MN04 9943) from the suspect’s possession. The arrest came after a verification process confirmed that the vehicle had been stolen from the Thangmeiband area of Imphal West. A formal complaint regarding the theft had already been lodged at Imphal Police Station.

The suspect was taken into custody and the vehicle has been seized. Police authorities have reaffirmed their commitment to swift action against theft and criminal activities across the state.
