Governor Interacts with Manipur Cerebral Palsy Football Team, Congratulates on National Achievement

Governor of Manipur, Shri Ajay Kumar Bhalla, today interacted with Dr. Ricky Laishram of the Spastic Society of Manipur and members of the Manipur Cerebral Palsy (CP) Football Team at Raj Bhavan, Imphal.

The team, which recently brought laurels to the State by securing the 2nd Runners-up position in the 3rd National CP Football Tournament held in Goa, shared their experiences during the meeting. They also expressed their commitment to promoting sports among differently-abled persons in Manipur.

Highlighting the need for inclusion of disability sports in the State Sports Policy, the team members emphasized equal opportunities and greater institutional support for athletes with disabilities.

Governor Bhalla congratulated the players on their remarkable performance and assured to look into the issues raised by them.
