Dr. Angomcha Bimol Akoijam Inaugurates Common Workshed at Ideal Girl’s College Akaampat Relief Camp

Hon’ble Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) from Inner Manipur, Dr. Angomcha Bimol Akoijam, today inaugurated a Common Workshed at the Ideal Girl’s College Akaampat Relief Camp, constructed under the Member of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme (MPLADS) 2025–26.

The newly built facility aims to serve as a shared workspace for the inmates of the relief camp, enabling them to engage in livelihood and income-generating activities. The initiative seeks to promote self-reliance and restore a sense of dignity and economic empowerment among the displaced families sheltered at the camp.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Bimol Akoijam highlighted the importance of community-based rehabilitation and reaffirmed his commitment to supporting displaced persons through sustainable and inclusive development measures.

The project stands as part of the MP’s broader vision to empower communities affected by displacement and strengthen local resilience through practical, people-centered initiatives.
