Pherzawl District Joins Nation in Celebrating 150 Years of Vande Mataram
The District Administration, Pherzawl, observed the 150th anniversary of India’s national song Vande Mataram with a commemorative ceremony held at the DC Office Conference Hall.
Deputy Commissioner Smt. Mannuamching led officials and staff in the collective singing of Vande Mataram, honouring the timeless song that inspired generations during India’s freedom struggle and continues to symbolize unity and national pride.
The event was held in synchrony with the national-level observance in New Delhi, where the Hon’ble Prime Minister addressed the nation. A live broadcast of the address was streamed during the programme, allowing participants to join the nationwide celebration in real time.
The observance at Pherzawl reflected the district’s deep sense of patriotism and commitment to upholding the spirit of Vande Mataram as a unifying force for the nation.
