DIU Kakching Team Conducts Hospital Audit to Review CMHT and AB-PMJAY Implementation
The District Implementation Unit (DIU) team of Kakching today carried out a hospital audit to assess the implementation of key health schemes in the district. The team included the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Kakching, the Medical Officer (MO) in-charge of Kakching Community Health Centre (CHC), and the District Programme Coordinator (DPC) of DIU Kakching.
During the visit, the officials inspected two private hospitals — Jivan Hospital and Ema Hospital. The audit focused on reviewing the delivery of services under the Chief Minister-gi Hakshelgi Tengbang (CMHT) and Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) schemes.

According to the DIU, the evaluation aimed at ensuring that beneficiaries receive timely and cashless treatment as mandated under both schemes.
Under CMHT, eligible families in Manipur are entitled to cashless treatment up to ₹5 lakh, covering primary and secondary care along with seven critical ailments, including cardiovascular diseases, cancer, kidney diseases, neonatal conditions, neurological issues, burns and liver ailments.
The AB-PMJAY scheme offers health coverage of up to ₹5 lakh per family per year for secondary and tertiary care hospitalization, significantly reducing out-of-pocket medical expenses as part of the national Ayushman Bharat programme.
