One Serow Fawn rescued and handed over to Manipur Zoological Garden, Iroishemba, Imphal.

One fawn of Serow, (Manipuri:Sabeng), Scientific Name:Capricornis rubidus) which is included in the Schedule I of Wildlife Protection Act 1972, and classified as ” Vulnerable” by the IUCN has been rescued and handed over to Manipur Zoological Garden.

The Serow Fawn was rescued by one Keijuilung Pame S/O Arum Pame of Impa village , Tousem Sub-division, Tamenglong District. He has rescued the wild animal on 26/11/2025 and handed over to Shri A. Promeshwor Singh , RFO, Tousem on 27/11/2025.

The Serow Fawn has been handed by Tamenglong Forest Division led by DFO, Tamenglong Shri Kharibam Hitler Singh & staff of Tousem Range to Dr. L. Saratchandra Singh, Veterinary Officer, Manipur Zoological Garden at around 9:30 AM Dated 28/11/2025.
