Churachandpur Marks Rashtriya Ekta Diwas with ‘Run for Unity’

As part of the observance of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day), ADC Churachandpur, Shri Lalrobul Fimate, MCS, today flagged off the “Run for Unity – Run for India” from the Public Ground, Hiangtam Lamka.

The event, organised by the District Administration, Churachandpur, commemorated the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India, who played a pivotal role in uniting the nation. The unity run aimed to spread the message of national integration and collective strength among citizens.

Before the run began, SDO Churachandpur, Shri Vidyamari Sridhar, IAS, administered the Unity Pledge to participants comprising personnel from the Police, CRPF, Central Paramilitary Forces, District Level Officers, and students from various schools under ZEO Churachandpur.

The event concluded at the Mini Secretariat, Tuibong, with participants echoing the spirit of unity and harmony that defines the day.
