Rashtriya Ekta Diwas Observed in Bishnupur with ‘Run for Unity’

The District Administration, Bishnupur, in coordination with the District Youth Affairs and Sports Office (DYASO), today observed Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) with a ‘Run for Unity’ event starting from the Mini Secretariat Complex, Bishnupur.

Deputy Commissioner Smt. Pooja Elangbam flagged off the run, which saw enthusiastic participation from athletes, youth, and officials of the District Administration, including ADM Shri Toijam Opendro, AC to DC Shri Sh. Gunamani, and SDO/BDO Bishnupur Shri Loitongbam Rishikanta, among others.

Later, the Deputy Commissioner administered the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas Pledge at the Conference Hall of the Mini Secretariat Complex, reaffirming the collective commitment to uphold unity and integrity across the nation.

Rashtriya Ekta Diwas, observed every year on October 31, marks the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India, and celebrates his enduring contribution to national integration.
