Assam Rifles Celebrates Chavang Kut with Local Community at Moreh
The spirit of unity and cultural harmony came alive as the Assam Rifles celebrated the Chavang Kut Festival with the local community at the HTC Office in Moreh, Tengnoupal district on Saturday. The event, organised by Kuki Civil Society Organisations (CSOs), showcased the vibrant traditions and communal bonds that define the harvest festival.
The celebration began with a prayer ceremony led by members of the Kuki community, offering thanks for a bountiful harvest and seeking blessings for peace and prosperity in the region. The festive mood deepened as cultural performances unfolded, featuring traditional Kuki songs and dances that enthralled the gathering.





Officials from the Assam Rifles, security personnel, members of CSOs, and representatives from the state administration attended the event, sharing in the joy and exchanging warm greetings. Their presence reflected the shared commitment to preserving cultural values and promoting peaceful coexistence.
