Manipur Congress files petitions seeking disqualification of four NPP MLAs

“A disqualification each was filed against the four NPP legislators for extending support to the BJP-led government in Manipur despite the NPP’s national president Conrad K. Sangma and the parent unit of the party withdrawing support,” N. Bupenda Meitei

The four NPP legislators are – Mayanglambam Rameshwar Singh representing the Kakching constituency, Thongam Shanti Singh (Moirang seat), Irengbam Nalini Devi (Oinam), and Janghemlung Panmei (Tamenglong).

The petitions were filed at the Speaker’s Tribunal of the 60-member Manipur Assembly.
