Amit Shah Chairs High-Level Review Meeting on Manipur’s Security Situation
New Delhi, February 28: Union Home Minister Amit Shah chaired a high-level review meeting on Wednesday to assess the security situation in Manipur. The meeting was attended by the Governor of Manipur, the Union Home Secretary, the Director of the Intelligence Bureau, the Deputy Chief of Army Staff, the Army Commander of the Eastern Command, and senior officials from the Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), and Assam Rifles.
Top officials from the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), the Army, and the Manipur administration were also present. The discussions focused on the prevailing law-and-order situation in the state, ongoing security measures, and strategies to ensure peace and stability.
The Home Minister emphasized the need for coordinated efforts between central and state agencies to restore normalcy and maintain peace. The meeting comes amid ongoing tensions in the region, with the government reaffirming its commitment to resolving security challenges and ensuring the safety of citizens.
