Security Forces Intensify Operations After Firing Incident Near Kongba Maru Temple

Imphal, March 1: Security forces have intensified operations in and around the Wakan area following a firing incident aimed at disrupting prayer rituals at Kongba Maru temple. Manipur Police confirmed that security personnel were immediately alerted, and extensive combing operations, area sanitization, and area domination exercises were conducted in Wakan Ridge and Mark Hills Ridge.

In response to the incident, the Kuki Inpi-Saikul and village chiefs of nearby Kuki villages were summoned and issued a stern warning against causing disturbances. Authorities have made it clear that severe action will be taken if such incidents recur.

Efforts are currently underway to identify and apprehend those responsible for the attack. Security forces have been ordered to remain on high alert to prevent further disturbances and to respond effectively in case of any future violations.

Operations and area domination will continue to ensure peace and stability in the region, police officials said.
