Governor Honours Young Scouts with Rajya Puruskar Awards at 11th Governor Rally in Imphal
Imphal, April 8, 2025:
The 11th Governor Rally and Rajya Puruskar Award Distribution Ceremony was held with grandeur today at the Durbar Hall of Raj Bhavan, Imphal. Organized by the Manipur State Bharat Scouts & Guides, the event was graced by the Governor of Manipur, Shri Ajay Kumar Bhalla, who presented the prestigious Rajya Puruskar Awards to 30 outstanding Scouts.
In his address, Governor Bhalla praised the unwavering dedication, resilience, and selfless service displayed by the Scouts. He highlighted the impactful role of the Scout movement in society, noting their active participation in environmental initiatives, literacy campaigns, disaster relief efforts, and peace-building activities. “The Scouts have always stepped forward with courage and commitment,” he stated.
The Governor urged the young awardees to uphold strong moral values, embrace their social responsibilities, and build mental resilience. He spoke about the importance of developing the “inner net” — a network of human values, emotions, and responsibilities — in a world increasingly consumed by digital distractions. He also called upon the youth to contribute meaningfully to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.
The event was attended by several dignitaries including MLA Kh. Raghumani Singh, Lt. General (Retd.) K. Himalaya Singh, and Director General of Police, Manipur, Rajiv Singh, among others.
The ceremony celebrated not just the achievements of the Scouts but also the enduring values of service, integrity, and community spirit they
represent.
