AMWJU and EGM Mourn the Demise of SKTV News Anchor Chirom Jadumani Singh
The All Manipur Working Journalists’ Union (AMWJU) and Editors’ Guild Manipur (EGM) have expressed deep sorrow over the untimely demise of Chirom Jadumani Singh, a respected News Anchor of SKTV News.
Born on October 5, 1975, late Jadumani Singh hailed from Lamdeng Khunou, Lamsang Bazar in Imphal West. Known for his calm, composed, and ever-smiling demeanor, he began his journalism career with ISTV News, later worked with ISCOM for two years, and had been serving as a News Anchor at SKTV News since its inception. He continued in this role with dedication and professionalism until his passing on October 27, 2025.
In a condolence message issued by Jayalakshmi Thangjam, Publicity Secretary of AMWJU, both AMWJU and EGM remembered the late journalist as a sincere and devoted professional who made significant contributions to news broadcasting and inspired many young anchors through his humility and commitment to the profession. The two media bodies conveyed their heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for the departed soul to rest in eternal peace.
