Jiribam District Administration Distributes Hybrid Vegetable Seeds to Farmers

The Jiribam District Administration, in collaboration with the District Horticulture and Soil Conservation Department, distributed Rabi season hybrid vegetable seeds to local farmers at the DC Office Complex, Jiribam.

Deputy Commissioner Krishna Kumar, IAS, handed out hybrid seeds of Garden Pea, Onion, Cabbage, Cauliflower, and Knolkhol to about 20 farmers from Jiribam and Borobekra Sub-Division under the MIDH scheme.

Encouraging the farmers, the DC highlighted the need to enhance local vegetable production and make the district self-reliant in food supply.

The event was attended by ADC Th. Manoranjan Singh, BDOs R.K. Sailash Singh and T. Janeshwor Singh, CDO Y. Pradip Singh, SDAO Naem Shah, and officials from the Horticulture and Soil Conservation Department.
