Vibrant Manipur Day Marks Strong Presence at 44th India International Trade Fair
Manipur Day was celebrated this evening at the 44th India International Trade Fair (IITF) 2025 at Amphi Theatre-1, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
The event was graced by Shri Anurag Bajpai, IFS, Additional Chief Secretary (Textiles, Commerce & Industry), Government of Manipur, as the Chief Guest. Smt. Yumnam Robita, IAS, Director of Trade, Commerce & Industries, attended as the President, while Major Pawan Kumar Thapliyal, Senior Head – Defence, DHL Logistics Pvt. Ltd., was present as the Guest of Honour.



Addressing the gathering, Shri Anurag Bajpai expressed delight at the impressive turnout, noting that the diverse participation reflected a collective commitment to enterprise growth and stronger integration of Manipur into national and global value chains. He said the State’s participation at the trade fair received an enthusiastic response, with numerous exhibitors, buyers, and visitors exploring new avenues of collaboration and market expansion.
He extended heartfelt appreciation to all exhibitors, buyers, organisers and attendees, stating that their involvement made Manipur’s presence meaningful and memorable. He reaffirmed the State’s dedication to fostering economic growth, investment, and shared prosperity, and called for continued collaboration among stakeholders.
Smt. Yumnam Robita thanked the audience for their support and enthusiasm in celebrating Manipur’s heritage. She invited everyone to enjoy the evening’s line-up, highlighting the fashion show and cultural performances as major attractions.
The celebration featured cultural performances by Laaman Thang-Ta and DDMRU, Imphal, showcasing the vibrant traditions of Manipur. A special fashion show by designer Sailex also captivated visitors with Manipuri handlooms and textiles crafted by skilled weavers.
