MP Sanajaoba’s Office Files Complaint Against IGP Themthing Ngashangva for ‘Unruly Behaviour’ at Royal Palace
The Office of the Rajya Sabha MP from Manipur, Maharaja Sanajaoba Leishemba, has submitted a written complaint to the Governor of Manipur against IGP Themthing Ngashangva, accusing him of unruly behaviour and issuing threats at the MP’s official residence, which is also part of the Royal Palace (Konung).
According to the report filed by the MP’s PA/PS, Maisnam Shivdutta Singh, the incident occurred around 1:30 pm when the IGP allegedly entered the residential compound of the MP without permission. The letter claims that the IGP threatened the MP’s security personnel and warned that he would file an FIR accusing the MP of sheltering Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) and organising related rallies.
The complaint states that the IGP “shouted and threatened” security staff and that the sanctity of the Royal Palace — regarded as a holy place — was violated.
The MP’s office has requested immediate action against the IGP and urged that he be placed under suspension pending inquiry.
