RSS Leader Dattatreya Hosabale: Centre Took Administrative Steps to Restore Normalcy in Manipur

Bengaluru, March 24, 2025: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) General Secretary Dattatreya Hosabale on Sunday stated that the Union government has taken several administrative steps to bring normalcy in Manipur, expressing optimism that the situation in the strife-torn state is gradually improving.

Speaking to the media during the Akhil Bhartiya Pratinidhi Sabha (ABPS) in Bengaluru, Hosabale said, “We are happy that the government has addressed the situation, and people are now experiencing some relief. Let’s hope for more such actions and that all sections of society in Manipur live harmoniously.”

He confirmed that the RSS has not demanded any specific intervention but has urged the government to resolve the crisis at the earliest. “We have the right to voice concerns. The Sangh has always emphasised the urgency of addressing the Manipur issue, but we leave it to the government to decide on the appropriate course of action,” he added.

Hosabale acknowledged that the government has already taken strong measures, including the imposition of President’s Rule, suspension of the state government, disarmament drives, and reopening of key highways—all aimed at restoring peace and stability in the region.

His remarks come amid growing national concern over the prolonged ethnic and political unrest in Manipur, with various organisations and civil society groups continuing to call for a comprehensive and peaceful resolution.
