D.M. College of Arts Hosts 3rd Extension Lecture on World War II History
The History Club of D.M. College of Arts successfully conducted its 3rd Extension Lecture Programme on Thursday, featuring noted historian and curator, Arambam Angamba Singh. Singh, who currently serves as the President of the 2nd World War Campaign Foundation and Curator of The Hump World War II Museum in Pasighat, Arunachal Pradesh, delivered a detailed and engaging lecture on the Second World War and the Battle of Imphal.
Addressing a packed audience of students, faculty, and history enthusiasts, Sir Angamba Singh emphasized the strategic importance of the Battle of Imphal, calling it one of the most pivotal confrontations in World War II. Using a multimedia presentation, he brought to life lesser-known battlefields across Manipur, shedding light on the state’s critical yet often overlooked role in global wartime history.
