Senapati Hosts District Level Inter-School & College Literary Meet 2025

The District Administration, Senapati on Wednesday organized the District Level Inter-School and College Literary Meet 2025 at the Mini Secretariat Complex, Senapati. The event aimed to foster literary excellence, creativity, and intellectual engagement among students across the district.

The literary meet featured a variety of competitions, including debate, extempore, video/reel making and presentation, painting, essay writing, and quiz, with participation from 14 schools and colleges, such as Don Bosco Higher Secondary School Maram, Bethany Higher Secondary School, Grace English School, Mt. Zion Senior Secondary School, Senapati Government High School, and Don Bosco College, among others.

Addressing the gathering, Deputy Commissioner of Senapati, Mamoni Doley, IAS, welcomed all participants and highlighted the importance of extracurricular activities in shaping students’ personalities and boosting their confidence beyond academics. She encouraged students to use the occasion as a platform for learning, interaction, and healthy competition while upholding fairness and sportsmanship.

In his welcome note, Ngaonii Panii, SDC, Senapati, recalled that a similar district-level programme was first organized in 2010. He emphasized the significance of such events in building students’ presentation skills and critical thinking abilities. The SDC also highlighted additional features of the event, including a photobooth, a tourism photo display of Senapati, and a signature corner.

The audience was entertained with a handbell performance by Somang School, a special item by Don Bosco Taphou Onaeme, and a song performance by Liihva Kyapaomai.

Prizes, certificates, and cash awards were presented to all winners, while all participants received certificates of participation. Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Maram, was honored with the Best Participation Award.

The event was attended by District Level Officers, school principals, and teachers, marking a day of literary celebration and youthful enthusiasm in Senapati district.
