Jiribam DC Inspects Sites Ahead of Union Minister Savitri Thakur’s Visit
The Deputy Commissioner of Jiribam, Krishna Kumar, IAS, on Monday conducted an extensive inspection of several sites in preparation for the upcoming visit of Union Minister of State for Women & Child Development, Smt. Savitri Thakur, scheduled for November 6, 2025.
The inspection covered Amrit Sarovar Ponds at Sonapur Zilla Parishad, Dibong Gram Panchayat, and Aglapur, as well as Anganwadi Centres at Kadamtala Mahadabpur and Kamranga Meitei, besides the Reda Shakti Sadan Home at Sorok Atingbi.
During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner interacted with officials from the Block Development Offices of Jiribam and Borobekra, instructing them to ensure the quality maintenance of Amrit Sarovar ponds, which serve important public utility purposes.
At the Anganwadi Centres, he engaged with workers and helpers, emphasizing the importance of properly updating the Poshan Tracker and maintaining accurate data on the enrolment of children and women under the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana and other welfare schemes.
The Deputy Commissioner urged all departments to coordinate effectively to ensure the success of the Union Minister’s visit.
Senior officials, including Additional Deputy Commissioner Th. Manoranjan Singh (MCS), DIO Jiribam N. Bidyananda Singh, BDO Borobekra R.K. Sailash Singh, BDO Jiribam T. Janeshwor Singh, and DCPO Jiribam H. Ibeyaima Devi, accompanied the Deputy Commissioner during the inspection.
