17 Shooters from Manipur Selected for India Open Pistol/Rifle 2025 in Bhopal

The Manipur Rifle Association  has announced the selection of seventeen shooters from the state to participate in the India Open Pistol/Rifle National Ranking (NR) Events 2025, scheduled to be held in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, from November 11 to 22, 2025.
The selection follows an official order issued by N. Rajendro Singh, Secretary of the Manipur Rifle Association. The event, organized under the aegis of the National Rifle Association of India (NRAI), will feature top shooters from across the country competing in various rifle and pistol categories.
The selected shooters representing Manipur include:
Sinam Somorendro Meetei, Langojam Hector, Nandeibam Albert Meitei, Asem Kennedy Singh, Kunyson Tonambam, Amakcham Olen Meitei, Shamurailatpam Brojen Sharma, Usham Tarun Kumar Singh, Lanchenba Nongthombam, R.K. Chinglen, Rajkumar Jehan Singh, Hanglem Bubu Singh, Manish Thounaojam, Nelson Huidrom, Rajkumar Chazal, Sarungbam Shankardas Singh and Taibangnganba Thounaojam.
According to the association, shooters — Manish Thounaojam, Taibangnganba Thounaojam, Rajkumar Chazal, and Nelson Huidrom — are currently under approval.

The participation of Manipur’s contingent in this national-level championship is seen as a major boost to the state’s growing reputation in shooting sports.
