Jiribam Gears Up for Sardar@150 Unity March

The Jiribam District Administration held a press conference at the DC Office Conference Hall today to discuss preparations for the upcoming Sardar@150 Unity March, scheduled for November 14, 2025.

Deputy Commissioner Krishna Kumar, IAS, said the event commemorates the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India. The Unity March, organized in collaboration with MY Bharat, Jiribam, will begin at 8:00 a.m. from Echel Club Dibong and conclude at the DC Office Complex.

The DC said the march aims to promote national integration, unity, and commitment to nation-building. Various activities such as essay writing, painting competitions, debates, and cultural programmes will also be organized over the next year to mark the celebration.

He appreciated the efforts of NSS, NCC, MY Bharat volunteers, educational institutions, and local organizations for their active participation and urged the public, especially the youth, to join the march and make it a success.

Senior officials including SDO L. Tarajeet Singh, DIO N. Bidyananda Singh, District Youth Officer Worchipem AC, NSS in-charge Dr. Th. Somorendra Singh, and SDC (BO) Rk. Gyandeep also attended the press conference.
