Assam Rifles Empowers Youth Through Six-Month Agniveer Training In Churachandpur

The Assam Rifles successfully concluded a six-month Pre-Recruitment Training Programme in Churachandpur, aimed at preparing local youth for the Agniveer Recruitment Rally. Conducted from April to October 2025, the initiative focused on instilling discipline, endurance, and competitiveness among aspiring candidates, particularly from remote areas with limited access to structured training.

The training drew 103 candidates for written test coaching, of whom 98 cleared the examination. Simultaneously, 124 participants underwent intensive physical training designed to meet the stringent selection criteria, with 93 successfully qualifying. Altogether, 92 candidates cleared both stages of the recruitment process.

A felicitation ceremony was held at Headquarters Veng to honour the successful candidates, celebrating their achievement as a proud milestone for the district. The event also highlighted the Assam Rifles’ continued efforts in fostering national pride and empowering the region’s youth to serve the nation.

With 38 personnel dedicated to training and coordination, the programme demonstrated Assam Rifles’ long-standing commitment to youth development and nation-building. Beyond physical and academic preparation, the initiative rekindled a sense of purpose and patriotism among participants, many of whom now stand ready to join the Indian Armed Forces.

In a region where opportunities are often scarce, the Assam Rifles’ outreach has become a crucial bridge—nurturing ambition, instilling discipline, and shaping the next generation of soldiers with honour and dedication.
