Special Campaign 5.0 Concludes Successfully at RIMS, Imphal
The Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal, today held the closing function of the Special Campaign 5.0 under the Swachhata Action Plan 2025–26 / Kayakalp at the General OPD Complex.
Prof. G. Sunil Kumar Sharma, Director of RIMS, Imphal, graced the occasion as Chief Guest, while Prof. N. Sanjib Singh, Medical Superintendent, presided as President, and Prof. Y. Govindaraj Singh, Nodal Officer of the Swachhata Action Plan 2025–26 / Kayakalp, attended as Guest of Honour.
Addressing the gathering, Prof. G. Sunil Kumar Sharma lauded the active participation of all departments in the month-long campaign, launched on October 2 under the theme “Clean India, Healthy India.” He noted that RIMS exceeded its targets under the leadership of Prof. Y. Govindaraj Singh, collecting over 3,000 kg of e-waste and achieving significant improvements in campus cleanliness and hygiene. He also encouraged everyone to continue the momentum for Special Campaign 6.0 next year.


The event also featured the distribution of prizes and certificates to winners in various categories for their contributions to cleanliness and environmental responsibility. Members of the Manipur Photography Club, Freefly Manipur, and jury members of the Special Campaign 5.0 Photography Contest 2025 were honoured for their valuable support in documenting the campaign. Panelists of the discussion on “E-Waste: The Hidden Threat to Our Environment” were also felicitated for their contributions toward promoting environmental awareness.
The closing ceremony marked a successful culmination of the campaign, reaffirming RIMS, Imphal’s ongoing commitment to cleanliness, sustainability, and community engagement.
