Tribal Youth Council Manipur Requests Governor to Disburse Pending Bills and Festive Dues Before Christmas 2025
The Tribal Youth Council Manipur (TYCM), Council Headquarters, has urged the Governor of Manipur to expedite the disbursement of all pending and current bills for completed contract works in the hill districts and to release schemes, pensions, salaries, and honorariums for tribal and Christian government employees before Christmas 2025.
In a press communiqué issued on December 1, the council said it had submitted a representation seeking urgent intervention from Raj Bhavan. The TYCM stated that its appeal was made “for the disbursement of all pending and current bills for completed contract works in the hill areas of Manipur and for the release of schemes, pension, salary, and honorarium of tribal/Christian Government employees before Christmas 2025.”
Highlighting the significance of Christmas for the Christian community, the council described it as “the most precious and sacred occasion for Christians,” adding that it is a period when families “incur essential expenses as part of the celebration.”
The communiqué noted that after a year of hard work, the festive season becomes a time for “rest, joy, thanksgiving, and spiritual renewal.”
The TYCM expressed hope that Christmas 2025 would symbolize peace and harmony in the state. “The TYCM–CHQ sincerely prays that the approaching Christmas, 2025, will be a season that brings lasting peace to the State of Manipur,” it said.
The council also urged the Governor to ensure strict maintenance of law and order during the festive period. It “strongly appeals to the Hon’ble Governor of Manipur to ensure the effective maintenance of law and order and to prevent the occurrence of any unwanted eventualities during the festive season in the State.”
The TYCM stated that it was speaking on behalf of the Christian community of Manipur and “earnestly implores your esteemed office to graciously initiate the necessary action in the larger public interest.”
