ASHAs Honoured at District-Level Convention in Jiribam
The District Health Society, Jiribam, organised a district-level convention of Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHAs) on Saturday at the District Hospital, Ningsingkhul.
Deputy Commissioner Krishna Kumar, IAS, attended as Chief Guest. Additional Deputy Commissioner Th. Manoranjan Singh, MCS, served as Guest of Honour, while Chief Medical Officer Dr. Vinay Prasad Sahu presided over the programme.
Addressing the gathering, the Deputy Commissioner called for stronger coordination between ASHAs and Anganwadi Workers (AWWs). He also instructed the CMO to convene a meeting involving ASHAs, the Social Welfare Department and bank officials so frontline workers can be informed about welfare schemes, including the Atal Pension Yojana, aimed at those in the unorganised sector.

As part of the event, awards and certificates were given to six Best ASHAs representing each of the six Gram Panchayats.
Congratulating the awardees and stakeholders, the Deputy Commissioner urged them to continue their dedicated efforts toward building a healthier community.
Senior officials present included Dr. N. Soroja Devi, SNO RBSK; Dr. N. Bembem, DMO; Dr. Justin Haobam, MO (Medicine); N. Romen, DPM; and N. Raju Singh, District Data Manager.
