Search Operations in Hill-Valley Fringe Yield Arms and Ammunition Cache

In a series of search and area domination operations, security forces conducted intensive sweeps across the fringe and vulnerable regions of hill and valley districts in Manipur. These efforts led to the recovery of a significant cache of arms, ammunition, and other items from the foothill of Fungei Ching Ngamukhong area, Thoubal District.

The recovered items included one SLR with a magazine, one SMG Carbine with a magazine, one 12 Bore Double Barrel Gun, one 9 mm Pistol, one .32 mm Pistol, six 36 HE Grenades, two Detonators, two Tube Launchers, 39 live ammunition rounds, one Baofeng Walkie Talkie with its charger, and five arming rings.

The operation, aimed at ensuring security in the region, underscores the ongoing efforts of security forces to counter threats in sensitive areas. Investigations are underway to trace the origin and intended use of the recovered items.
