DC Tamenglong Chairs Preparatory Meeting for 18th Orange Festival

Dr. L. Angshim Dangshawa, IAS, Deputy Commissioner of Tamenglong, chaired a coordination meeting today at the Conference Hall, Mini Secretariat, Tamenglong Headquarters, to review preparations for the upcoming 18th edition of the Orange Festival.

The meeting was attended by key district officials including SP Tamenglong Lanmiyo Luikham, SDO Tamenglong D. Meidinbui, MCS, CEO ADC Tamenglong Kachamthai F. Gangmei, MCS, DFO Kh. Hitler, and various district-level officers.

Chairman of the festival, Dr. L. Angshim Dangshawa, announced that the Orange Festival will be held from December 17 to 19, aiming to celebrate and promote Tamenglong’s rich orange cultivation and cultural heritage.

A total of 22 sub-committees have been constituted to ensure smooth preparation and successful organization of the event. The Deputy Commissioner urged all concerned officials and committee members to work with dedication and sincerity for the grand success of the festival.

This year’s three-day celebration will feature a wide range of events including Best Orange Grower Contest, Orange Queen Contest, camping and adventure activities at popular tourist destinations, musical nights, Tamenglong Got Talent, and a seminar for orange growers, among others.
