Security Forces Destroy 18 Acres of Poppy Cultivation in Kangpokpi
Security Forces on Monday destroyed 18 acres of illegal poppy cultivation located between Khoiripok and Sehjang villages under New Keithelmanbi Police Station in Kangpokpi district.
During the operation, the team also dismantled five huts and seized items used in the illicit plantation, including one bag of fertilizer, spray pumps and various chemicals and herbicides. All materials found at the site were destroyed on the spot.
The drive was part of ongoing efforts to curb narcotics cultivation in the region. Authorities said such operations will continue to prevent poppy farming and related illegal activities.
