Twelve Underground Cadres Arrested in Manipur; Arms and Ammunition Seized
Imphal, May 6:
Security forces and Manipur Police conducted extensive intelligence-based combing and cordon-and-search operations across multiple districts on May 4 and 5. A total of 12 underground cadres affiliated with proscribed outfits including KCP (PWG), KCP (Apunba), KCP (Taibanganba), and PLA were arrested. Several arms, ammunition, and incriminating materials were recovered.

Imphal East District (Irilbung PS jurisdiction):
On May 5, three active underground cadres of KCP (PWG) were arrested from Keirao Wangkhem and adjoining areas:
- 1. Naorem Rabichandra Singh @ Power Mangangcha (30), Thoubal District
- 2. Yengkokpam Premchand Singh @ Chingsangngakpa (22), Thoubal District
- 3. Ningthoukhongjam Bikash Singh, Bishnupur District
Seized:
- 01 AK Rifle with 4 live rounds
- 01 A1 Rifle with 5 live rounds
- 01 M4 Rifle with magazine
- 01 SLR Rifle with 5 live rounds
- 01 .303 Rifle with 5 live rounds
- 25 rounds of .303 ammunition
- 01 wireless set
Imphal East District (Heingang PS jurisdiction):
On May 5, four active underground cadres of KCP (PWG) were arrested from Mantripukhri French Colony:
- 1. Wahengbam Bimal Meitei @ Luwang (25), Imphal West
- 2. Sorenshangbam Sanjana Devi @ Sileima (25), Imphal West
- 3. Senjam James Singh (30), Thoubal District
- 4. Wangkheimayum Tarun Singh (24), Imphal West

- 02 pistols with magazines and 1 round of 7.65 mm ammunition

On May 5, one active underground cadre of PLA was arrested from Sawombung Kabui Khunjao:

On May 5, two active underground cadres of KCP (Apunba) were arrested from Wangjing Awang Leikai:
