Shija Hospitals and 86 Bn CRPF Conduct Training on Mental Health
In observance of World Mental Health Day 2025, Shija Hospitals & Research Institute, Langol, Imphal West, in collaboration with the 86 Battalion CRPF, Lamphel, organized a one-day training programme on “Access to Services: Mental Health in Catastrophes and Emergencies.” The session aimed to enhance awareness and strengthen emotional resilience among CRPF personnel.

Around 100 CRPF personnel attended the training, which featured expert-led sessions focusing on mental well-being and psychological support during stressful situations.


Dr. Meesha Haorongbam, Consultant Psychiatrist at Shija Hospitals, spoke on “Mental Health and Well-being,” emphasizing the importance of emotional resilience, self-care, and coping strategies during challenging times. Ms. Nidhbala Athokpam, Consultant Clinical Psychologist, conducted a session on “Psychological First Aid,” which focused on stress management, recognizing emotional distress, and applying grounding techniques and exercises.
Shija Hospitals expressed appreciation for the collaboration with the 86 Bn CRPF and reaffirmed its commitment to promoting mental health awareness and supporting the well-being of police personnel and the wider community.
